Illustrators
We publish books for a range of ages, from picture books to novels for adults. We are often looking for cover illustrations and chapter headings, and the occasional character artwork, and we love working with freelance illustrators.
We have a selection of illustrator portfolios that we consider each time we need to hire somebody. If you would like to submit an e-portfolio of your work for future consideration, then we would love to hear from you!
Don’t be downhearted if we don’t need an illustrator right away. We publish about 5 books a year and, with your permission, we’ll keep your details on file for future projects.
How to Submit Your Work
Create a pdf with:
- Your portfolio of illustrations (this is the most important part so take your time with this!)
- A cover letter, mentioning what sort of work you’d be interested in (cover artwork, chapter headings, full picture book illustration etc.), and an idea of your fee. We know that this is likely to change project to project, but it really helps us if we have a ballpark figure when we’re considering the budget constraints on a book.
- A page with your contact information and website. Feel free to include any social media links you have too, but this isn’t necessary.
When you have your pdf, please attach the file in an email to Submissions@Crowvus.com with the subject line “Illustrator Portfolio”.
